Unlock Code Entry Instructions

Attention: Read before proceeding if you do not wish to damage your handset.

What your Unlock Code does.

We have provided an unlock code to unlock your handset from your current network provider. This will allow you to use sim cards from other network providers in your handset.

The code we have provided is not the security pin code for either your sim card or handset. This is a 4 digit security pin that is set by yourself and only known to you. After 3 incorrect entries your handset will lock and require your PUK code. If you can't remember your security pin you will need to phone your network provider and they will provide you with your PUK code for free. This will remove the pin you have set. Likewise the code we have provided is not your PUK code.

You must use a valid sim

In most cases you will need a sim from a network other than the one you handset is locked to for the unlocking process. Do not attempt to unlock your phone with a brand new or untested sim.

If your sim is brand new it will need to be activated either by calling your network, or with a Pay As You Go sim you may need to top it up. It will not work straight out of the box. Verify your sim is working and can make/recieve calls in a handset that can accept it before attempting to unlock with it.

Using the correct instructions

Each handset only has a certain number of attempts to enter the unlock code correctly, after 10 incorrect attempts your handset will be hardlocked. As this is the case it is important to make sure you have the correct unlock instructions for your handset and that you enter the code correctly. If you recieve an error upon entering a code, do not use all your attempts entering the same code over and over. You should contact us and we will be able to guide you.

Instructions vary from model to model, we have provided a number of instructions below. As there are thousands of handsets on the market and new models released all the time we may not have your particular handsets instructions listed. There are a number of instructions videos on youtube and it is recommended that you search there for your instructions as you can get a visual step by step guide for your handset

Youtube: (replace Blackberry 8900 with your handset)

Google: (replace Blackberry 8900 with your handset)

If you have used the correct instructions for your handset and have recieved an error message please Contact Us. We will be able to recheck with the manufacturer to ensure the correct code was issued. Sometimes identical handsets locked to different networks may have varying instructions on how to enter the unlock code and this may be the case.

Unlock Codes are unique to every handset and dependent on the Make, Model, IMEI and Network Provider the handset is currently locked to. We cannot be held responsible for incorrect information being supplied, your code was purchased from a supplier on your behalf and in cases like this a new order will be required to obtain the correct code. Likewise an order based on incorrect information cannot be returned or cancelled as it is unique and personalised goods.

How do I know if my handset is unlocked or not?

If your handset is locked and you place a sim from a different service provider inside you will not be able to use any of your phones normal functions and a message like 'emergency calls only' will appear. If you can use the phones normal functions but can't make a call, this means your phone has been unlocked, but may not be working with your new network due to one of the issues mentioned below.

Possible Issues After Unlocking

Please note that most handsets use GSM technology. A few other networks like Verizon network use a technology called CDMA and only allow handsets which they have sold to join thier network. An unlocked GSM handset will not work on these networks.

GSM signals can be broadcast different frequency bands and you can check here the frequency of the network you are trying to use. Most modern phones support multiple frequencies and you can check this on your manufacturers website. This is especially relevant if you are travelling abroad.

GSM handsets also operate based on second (2G) and third (3G) generation standards. Older handsets supporting 2G with newer handsets supporting both. Again you can check this on your manufacturers website. Nearly every GSM network provider supports both standards. Hutchison 3G (Three) in the UK however, is an exception and only supports 3G handsets. We are not aware of any other networks that operate his policy but this should also be noted.

Trouble Shooting

"Code Error" or "Sim Network Unlock Unsuccessful" What do I do?

* Please check your IMEI number by pressing *#06#, this is the most common reason the code doesn't work. If the first 15 digits which appear is different from the 15 digit IMEI number provided above, please reply directly to this E-mail.

I can make Calls and Text but I'm not getting Internet Service.

In this case you will need to adjust what's called the APN settings. The APN settings vary depending on the service provider you are trying to use. Please contact your service provider and they can assist you setting this up. There is no separate unlock for data or internet. If you can call or text, your phone's network is fully unlocked.

My Phone is asking for the "PUK" or "Security Pin" or "Password"

If your phone is asking for one of the above, it is the Simcard personal password or phone security password NOT the Network Lock which we provide for you. You can contact your service provider for this. Once you bypass this, you can use the Network Unlock Code provided by us.

My Phone seems to be unlocked but I'm not getting any signal

First of all, we do request you contact the service provider to make sure after unlocking your device, your unlocked phone will be compatible on their network. Not all GSM phones are compatible with any Network after unlocking it. The unlocked phone must be able to support the Network's Frequency. If you are unsure of this, please contact them regading this.

After unlocking your phone, please pull the battery for a couple minutes and then restart the device. It may take a few minutes for your phone to pick up the new signal. Also go to your Network settings on your phone, and make sure the device can detect the signal from the simcard you are trying use.

Lost or Stolen Handsets

Any handset that has been reported lost of stolen will not function with any network. The IMEI is placed on a database of blacklisted handsets that all networks check. If you have a second hand handset and you cannot get your handset to function you may want to check this with your network provider.

After you have unlocked. MMS and Internet.

Once you have unlocked and placed a sim from your new network provider in the handset you will need additional network settings in order to send MMS and access the internet. If you phone your network provider and request these settings they will send you a text message which will install these settings for you.

If your phone is asking for one of the above, it is the Simcard personal password or phone security password NOT the Network Lock which we provide for you. You can contact your service provider for this. Once you bypass this, you can use the Network Unlock Code provided by us.

The phone is Diplaying "Cannot Undo Restriction" or "Not Allowed" when trying to input the Unlock Code

This means your phone is hardlocked and you will have to use the following software:

You will require the following:

A USB Cable for your Nokia phone.

The correct USB Cable Drivers. Installing the 'Nokia PC Suite' software that you can obtain from the Nokia website will install the appropriate USB Cable Drivers. You can find it HERE

A small software application that you can download from HERE.

The unlock code sent to you by us,

Once you have all of these, follow the directions below:

Switch on your phone without a sim card. You should be prompted to 'Start Phone Without SIM Card' or similar. Click 'Accept' or 'OK'. Your phone is now in offline mode.

Connect your Nokia phone to the PC using the USB Cable. Your phone will display several options, PC Suite Mode', mass storage mode etc... stay in this screen, do not select any of the options.

Start the SendCodeUsb application you downloaded earlier and click on the 'Read Phone Info' button. The application should display several lines of information. If it says "not found" replug your phone into the usb, and then click read phone info

If the application still displays 'Not Found', your USB Cable Drivers are not correctly installed. In this case you will need to uninstall, then re-install the USB Cable Drivers. This procedure will not work unless the drivers are correctly installed. Trying an alternative USB Port may also help. DO NOT move on to the next step until you have successfully installed the USB Cable Drivers and the software can read the information from the phone.

Now make sure you check the 'Check For Fbus' checkbox. Also make sure the 'Level(1-7)' selection is set to the appropriate carrier

For ROGERS AND FIDO use +7 or +1

For all Telus devices use +5 or +1

For all UK devices use +1 and +7

For all Tmobile USA devices use +1

6. Enter Only The Numbers of the correct unlock code into the 'Unlock Code (15 digits)' field (e.g. if your correct unlock code was #pw+123456789012345+1# you would enter only 123456789012345 in this field)

7. Click on the 'Send Unlock Code' button. The application should confirm that your Nokia phone is now unlocked.

---------- Trouble Shooting ----------

IPhone Unlock Instructions

  1. Install last version of iTunes
  2. Make sure phone is updated to the latest official version from iTunes
  3. Connect phone to iTunes with not accepted (not valid) SIM card
  4. Wait until iTunes detects phone
  5. Now disconnect phone and reconnect after 10 seconds
  6. Phone is Unlocked

OR

  1. Insert a non accepted SIM card
  2. Connect phone to iTunes
  3. Perform a back-up (if necessary) then restore
  4. iTunes will display "Your Phone is Unlocked"

NOTE : This is the only "lifetime" unlock solution for Apple iPhone as the IMEI is registered as "Unlocked" in Apple database. Your phone will always be unlocked even after each new update of your phone firmware !

Troubleshooting

I received the message "activated" or "unlocked" but when I plug it into iTunes, nothing happens.

- Try connecting to iTunes, perform a back up then restore.

Phone is Jailbroken and will not allow me to do a restore

- You must put your iPhone into whats call "DFU mode".
- Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your PC/Mac.
- Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
- After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Now you can do a restore on your iPhone.

* Note: It may take a few attempts to get your iPhone into DFU mode. Generally, I hold down both buttons then release the Home button just before I think the Apple logo would appear. If you are still holding both buttons down and you see the Apple logo you are holding them down for too long!
